The Whareama Coastal Walk is a fantastic fully catered, (unguided) 2-Night/2-Day walking adventure, over private farmland and isolated Wairarapa coastline.
The walk has been designed with YOU in mind. It doesn't matter if you are a couple, in a group or a lone 'tramper', you can come and join like-minded people on this challenging, stimulating and breath-taking walk!
The ideal weekend or midweek getaway!
Starting at Whareama, situated near the stunning East Coast of the Wairarapa, between the popular beach resorts of Castlepoint and Riversdale. It takes less than 2 hours to drive here from Wellington or Palmerston North and 3 & half hours from the Hawkes Bay region.
Over the two days you will be walking at your own comfortable pace, on farm tracks, laneways or following fenclines on a one-way, well marked circular track. Accommodated overnight in clean comfortable cottages where delicious healthy, hearty meals await.
A minimum of 4 catered walkers is required to operate the walk every day during the Season, with a maximum group number of 14. Use this walk to spend quality time with family, friends, work colleagues, associates or like-minded trampers.
For the walk and accommodation to be booked exclusively for your group, your group must number at least 10 or pay the equivalent charge, (catered or self-catered).
Note: A group of 2 or 3 walkers can be accommodated at the same price as for a group of 4 walkers.
